ALLEGIANCE HEALTH 5 EAST

PROJECT SUMMARY

The three phase remodeling of Henry Ford Allegiance Health’s East Wing took place within the existing 7 floor patient tower. The project intent was to create a more comfortable environment for healing with a more focused attention to Pediatric patients. Patient and staff mobility and flow within the East Wing of the Hospital was also an essential factor to the wing’s architecture.

This project created an arrangement of closer nursing care direct to usual Pediatric bed use and a sub-controlled area within the wing, placing usual Pediatric beds at the end of the wing for a more secure feeling for the pediatric patients. The center core areas were renovated to create a more user friendly space for staff to be able to perform tasks and better serve their patients. Additionally, the redecorated area that included an updated color scheme and modernized interior renovations brought in a sense of freshness and renewed energy to coincide with the redevelopment of a healing atmosphere.
