ALMENA TOWNSHIP HALL

PROJECT SUMMARY

The original 1,500 SF Township Hall Building was found to be unfulfilling of all the requirements and goals for Almena Township. Schley Nelson took the opportunity to provide an appropriate design that met the expectations of desired abilities of the newly constructed Hall for this Township and its members.

It was of great necessity to thoroughly review and allocate space to achieve the highest level of desired utilization of each area within the Hall. The final design encompassed new offices, storage, and a spacious community room that enables the Township to effectively hold meetings and important voting matters.

The historic district within Almena Township took a great deal of credit for inspiration of the design for the new Hall. The Township Hall was created to reflect the old schoolhouse feel as a connection to the history within the town where these functions may have taken place in the past and as an inspiration in moving forward with the use of this new building for the continuation of creating a bright future for all residents of the Township.
